The heavy dimpled, stainless steel clamp used on some GM application must be crimped to  a specific torque setting, when crimping the clamp the aluminum anvil on the tool must be deactivated. To deactivate the anvil, remove the round cam from te plier by loosenilng the hex recessed screw ..Replace the cam to crimp low carbon bands

For all ear-type clamps including GM FWD outboard CV joints. Designed for use with a torque wrench, as required for stainless steel bands.
