Used to hold the crankshaft on 2.5L (non-turbo) DOHC. On the 2.5L engines, this works on models that have crank pulley Subaru part #12305AA251.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In some cases, various repair manuals & services call for the #499977100, but is not the correct tool needed. Verify your VIN# w/ a dealership to find out which pulley you have for sure.
